Dog School FAQs

What is dog school?

Woof To Wow is an ongoing dog school where dogs learn everyday skills through positive reinforcement training, guided play, enrichment, and rest. Families drop off their dogs and continue practicing skills at home.

Where are you located?

We serve families from across Central Oregon and are centrally located between Bend, Tumalo, Redmond, and Sisters.

How old can my puppy be when starting school?

New students can start as young as nine weeks and must be six months old or younger on their first day. Puppies need age-appropriate vaccinations administered by a licensed veterinarian and a clean bill of health. We do not enroll new students who are older than six months.

Can my puppy start before completing their vaccination series?

Puppies can start as young as nine weeks with age-appropriate vaccinations administered by a licensed veterinarian and a clean bill of health. We sanitize daily and allow no more than one puppy who has not completed their vaccination series on school grounds on any given day as an extra safety precaution.

Can my dog keep attending after six months?

Yes. Dogs who begin school during puppyhood can continue attending as adults. The age limit applies to when a new student starts.

How often does my dog need to attend?

We ask students to attend at least one day of school each week. Exceptions can be made for illness, travel, spay/neuter recovery, Honor Roll status, and other circumstances. Talk with us about your dog’s needs.

Are we locked into the same days each week?

No. You can choose different school days each week and send your puppy as many days each week as you like. More days at school mean more opportunities to practice, helping your puppy learn faster.

How do we get started?

Send a school enrollment inquiry with your puppy’s age and your goals. A consultation with head trainer Desiree is required before attendance. If school is full, ask about our waitlist. A waitlist place does not guarantee a start before your puppy reaches the age limit.

Can my dog board without being enrolled in school?

No. Boarding is available exclusively to enrolled school dogs. Our usual weekly attendance expectation allows exceptions for illness, travel, spay/neuter recovery, Honor Roll status, and other circumstances. Contact us about your enrolled student’s boarding needs and availability.

Who can access classes, private lessons, lifetime support, and special events?

Group classes, private lessons, boarding, continued lifetime support, and special events are available exclusively to dogs enrolled in Woof To Wow school and their families. These services are not available as standalone options for dogs who are not enrolled in school. Explore our services or ask us about current availability.
